BABBLE POST 001!
So!
You can has an Orihara Izaya aka Pecha on Ophiuchus! Congrats!
You also now can has someone who loves you all very much if you have wonderfully human reactions to things and wants to see you exhibit all these emotions and reactions as much as possible!
In canon, Izaya goes on often about how much he loves humans, humans should love him, and oh my oh my their reactions are so wonderful and beautiful and pitiful and painful and he caused it.
So how will this translate into Sabra, where there are obviously many non-human blanks wandering around?
It depends really on a certain perspective. People having morals and consciously/subconsciously thought and adhered to desires and fears and whatnot are basically the things that attracts and excites Izaya. This is largely why he continues to disclaim Shizuo as part of the human race--because the man has no control over himself, he does the first thing that comes to mind, he functions on this instinct that most people would override in favor of rational thought, he is like a backwards step in the evolutionary process and it grates on Izaya's nerves, but especially when Shizu-chan displays normal functioning brain patterns/functions. Because he is unpredictable like that.
... and because he knew instinctively what kind of person Izaya was just by looking at him. How annoying.
So basically? Unless you are somehow at (or rather, resemblant to as Izaya will never believe that someone could be at) Shizuo's level of things, Izaya will like you on some level. Unless you're trying to claim to love people more than he does--that doesn't fly because he doesn't like to share. (GTFO, SAIKA!)
And, of course, Izaya liking you basically means he just wants to see your reactions more and more. He especially wants to see you surpass his expectations in every way possible.
The only problem with all of this?
Pecha doesn't remember any of it! So he's like a kid pulling pigtails on the girl he likes and doesn't quite know why he does it except that it's fun and worth risking people's ire and even hate. Except that it's every blank that doesn't ping him the way someone relatively close to how Shizuo does in canon--which is probably like 99% of Sabra. He does have some level of restraint--see also, how he behaved first meeting Ophi vs how he behaved first meeting colored blanks--but it's choppy and possibly a bit more heavy-handed than necessary. But mostly it's because he can get excited about the interaction with certain people.
So with that in mind, if there is ever any time that you really really don't want Izaya to go there--whether in a mission of his or a conversation with him--ping me! I will listen! because the one thing about Izaya is that while he might be a bastard and prods people into making horrible decisions on the occasion, he does back off. Especially when he knows it'll get his hands dirty.
