Okay, a little more seriously: Black gets an 8 out of 10 because Izaya believes he could have much much use from Black. Basically, the fact that Black didn't attack him but also didn't seem too put-off by him puts things in Izaya's favor. Izaya pretty much figures if he plays his hand right, Black may not necessarily like him, but he might prefer Izaya to other Ophiuchus out there and. Well. That's always better, isn't it?

He mostly finds Black to be temperamental (easy to redirect) and unsure of his own motivations (see previous parenthetical comment). He knows from reading the colored Blank profiles that Black had been in the Pillar before (and that Vulpecula has this habit of returning from the Pillar--oya~ such a stubborn team), and he's curious about that hand! But over all, he simply sees Black as being a hot-headed Vulpecula who has his own insecurities and uses that anger to mask a lot of them.

	Hahaha, the funny thing is Shinra is Black's least-hated Ophi by default because He's a Real Doctor. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF IZAYA FINDS THIS OUT :D Also I approve of Izaya using Black A+++ Or at least trying to. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

The 5 out of 10 is basically Izaya going, "... mmmmm. I didn't really get an impression of her. Ehhhh, it could be either-or" in regards to whether or not Trixie would be of any use to him.

All he knows about Trixie is what he learned from the Ophi profiles on teams--that she's been to the Pillar and was subjected to a Mirror punishment of some sort. Beyond that, she's not too terribly interesting. Being a ninja is A++ but still...

I think I wrote a post about that over here. For Izaya, it's more about the level of rational mind and conscious thought more than really human or non-human. For example, Shizuo is perfectly human, but he is completely ruled by his instinctual violence and rage. He loses rational thought and is disguistingly animalistic in Izaya's mind.

... unless it's one of those rare occasions that Shizu-chan shows he has a functional, rational brain. Then Izaya's irritated at him because it goes against what he expects of Shizuo.

	(haha). NEUTRAL pretty much. He doesn't mind Pecha that much, though if Pecha keeps talking too much he will probably say it annoys him and may or may not cut holes in his clothes :B But that doesn't mean anything. Pecha would have to do a lot to move Coriander's opinion from "neutral" or "neutral annoyed" or anything with weight. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Basically it's because Izaya knows he's not going to get anything out of Coriander easily and thus he's not that useful. However, this isn't to say that Izaya doesn't like him--Izaya loev all people and he does like Coriander for having a mean streak to him. He likes bickering with him and annoying Coriander to a certain degree. He keeps Izaya curious and wanting to poke poke poke for a reaction, so haha.

So basically, he's neutral on Coriander but he also likes him because Izaya is a masochist like that. Especially since, on the occasion, Coriander does annoy Izaya but it's more of a playful kind of thing than anything really serious.

Basically 5 out off 10 is Izaya hmmming and hawwwing over any possible use he might get out of Slick. On the one side--definitely nothing direct and definitely not anything that would involve actually USING Slick. Man's too crafty and also kind of off-putting and lazy. On the other hand, there are certain ties to Slick that he can use to get more information out of blanks (take Allen Walker for example). So in that way, he can be useful.

Generally, Izaya gets the impression of boredom from Slick. He's not really that curious about him quite yet, but that's mostly because he doesn't know/understand about the Noah thing--WHICH WOULD INTRIGUE HIM. For now, Slick's personality isn't enough of an attention-grabber for Izaya and Izaya would rather be a jerk to him and sell his cigarettes to colored blanks than give them to Slick.

But yeah, eventually he might start seeing reasons to REALLY like Slick (because remember, Izaya already likes pretty much everyone ever), but for now he's kind of bored by Slick. Lazy.

THE FUNNY THING IS. Slick has been at Ophiuchus longer than anyone else, and while he doesn't pay attention to much is a goldmine of older information. He also doesn't value information at all or particularly bother keeping secrets (his own or anyone else's). IF YOU HAD JUST GIVEN HIM CIGARETTES YOU COULD HAVE ASKED HIM ANYTHING 8|

But now he's cranky at you for being stingy.

slick and crafty. lolo. he's not at all really he's just reasonably intelligent, extremely powerful, and generally bored. (being bored is good when he's excited he kills things).

Haha, yeah, Izaya doesn't really care much about Ophiuchus blanks as much as he does colored blanks, to be fair. So it hasn't necessarily occurred to him how long Ophiuchus has been around and how much information they might have.

Besides, annoying people is how Izaya shows his generalized affection? Ish. Anyway, if you want cigarettes, you have to offer up your side of the trade first. /handwave handwave.

But since Ophi has whatever it needs there isn't much value to that either. And again he doesn't think of information as valuable so it wouldn't occur to him to be like MAN DO YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT HOW SHIT WAS FIVE MONTHS AGO? etc

He totally considers himself lucky that Hirohiko has started to pay him to be less of a dick 8D;
