Appearance/Mannerisms

wears: Ophiuchus suit uniform with frivolous jacket with plenty of pockets to put to use. boots, to go with. all black except for the gold trimming.

is 5'8" (175cm) tall and weighs 127lbs (58kg), so not very large at all.

lithe and with quick reflexes, hard to catch off-guard.

is very youthful looking but also has sharper features--handsome, in fact.

sharp, reddish-brown eyes that catch most details and tend not to match the smile on his face some of the time. Tends to smile with his eyes closed. nico nico~ ☆

mostly appears to be a cheerful person, but can at times let on to his more crafty and scheming nature.

has Horn's mark tattoo'd basically on his tongue. You have to watch for it to actually see it.

lots of papers if he can get his hands on it, where he has written down some information that he may have learned/overheard/was told. more sensitive information that he wants to keep to himself and not have nosy Ophiuchus uncover are written in a complicated code--which may or may not become a recipe for chocolate later :'D

Daily Routine

Wake up and eat breakfast

frolic amongst the colored blanks!

pick a spot in the caves and just listens in on conversations that may be occurring :')

heads back to Ophiuchus dorms and bickers/harasses Uraeus or something

more Listening and jotting down notes in his room

sleep! ... if he hasn't carried out a task for Horn and is able to sleep, that is.

body language speaks of someone who is trained in the art of escape--loose and flowing and ready to spring into action to run, twist, or manover himself out of the range of an attack.

following that, likes to move. Izaya is nearly constantly in motion when standing, whether it be gesturing or idly dancing/hopping about on rocks or what have you, he will only be still when he feels the need to be--possibly distracting to a degree

most of the time, tends to be very friendly and relaxed, charming to a degree for those who will buy into the act--because it is mostly an act. very polite and well-spoken, may even act shy to some degree.

other times, blanks may see him as someone who may not be very tolerant towards people who don't understand him, very sharp and confident.

and still more other times, blanks may see him as cruel, laughing and pressing their issues, and yet still able to retreat and be perfectly civil and professional

very few people will see as of now: manic episodes where Izaya is full-on out of his head, deliriously happy/upset/what have you at the people around him

one common element these different sides of him has: a certain fondness for the person he is dealing with--except for Shizuo.

mostly engages in idle conversation but will lead the conversation with questions and speculations. for those able to keep up, he is engaging and often will gladly have a philosophical debate. for those who are not able to keep up, he will trample all over them and their feelings and maybe even their little dog too

PRETTY EXPRESSIVE despite how he might hide what he is really thinking about a person, often sticks with a smile that may or may not match the look in his eyes

is not shy about personal space and doesn't care if someone invades his or he invades theirs. exception: Shizuo

strictly when dealing with Shizuo: will assume a tense, annoyed air full of sarcasm and dismissal. not able to take anything seriously, but eying sharply for any opening that he may present. it's very much like a predator fighting another, larger predator.

strictly when speaking of/to Judges: shows deference in his speech and behavior--bows and polite, formal speech to Judges he is unfamiliar with. will also display this behavior when speaking of the Judges for the most part.

strictly when dealing with Horn: . . . probably behaves the most himself and willing to show a bit more of that manic side, a little more casual but also a bit more respectful of Horn compared to how he behaves with other Judges.
